Varanasi – “The Spiritual Capital of India”

Varanasi – “The Spiritual Capital of India”

A centre of faith for the Hindus, Varanasi in the state of Uttar Pradesh is a famous pilgrimage in India, known as the city of Lord Shiva, the god of creation and destruction. In fact, it is believed that anyone that dies in Varanasi will be released from the cycle of death and rebirth.
Although the city is known for its ghats, temples, and music (yes, the music too), there are many other famous places in Varanasi that must be seen and experienced on your Varanasi trip.

Best Time to Visit Varansi

The best time to visit Varanasi is Winter (November – February) since the temperature is low and there is a calm breeze throughout the day. A five-day festival called Ganga Mahotsav is celebrated in November every year and is a star attraction in Varanasi.
